Bernice Avenue, La Una Street, and Silver Street Reconstruction

With funding provided by Washington State Transportation Improvement Board (TIB) the Town of Conconully was able to reconstruct three low-volume residential street segments. PSI worked with TD&H Engineering to develop cost-effective HMA pavement design strategies, including HMA overlay of the existing road surface and full depth reclamation (FDR). The City chose to utilize the cost-effective FDR option that included constructing an in-place mechanically stabilized base layer by pulverizing the existing road surface and subgrade material followed by addition of cement, moisture conditioning, and compaction.
